Anna Claire + Dan | A Sunny and Stunning Traditional Wedding At Open Door Church

Anna Claire and Dan are the absolute sweetest couple! I knew from the moment I met them at their engagement session that their wedding day was going to be well thought out, genuine, and full of love. These two were not interested in doing anything for their big day “just for the look of it” every detail was tied into their love story and their love for their family.

Anna Claire and Dan’s wedding day dawned sunny and gorgeous. We don’t have a traditional fall here in the south, but their wedding day came stunningly close. When I arrived Anna Claire was just finishing up getting ready and she was positively radiant with the joy she felt in knowing after today Miss Smith would be no more and she would be Mrs. Jones from then on.

I got straight to work on photographing the bride and groom’s details and when I tell you they were gorgeous it would be the understatement of the century. To make it even better there were so many sweet details from their family’s histories tied into their day: Anna Claire’s engagement ring was Dan’s great-grandmother’s from the 1910’s, the mother of the bride surprised her the morning of her wedding with a necklace made from her grandmothers engagement ring, all the details were photographed on Dan’s grandmothers heirloom lace tablecloths, and to top it all off the bride and groom surprised their parents at the reception by serving their favorite deserts.

The Ceremony was absolutley gorgous, one of the bride and groom’s favorite hymns opened the service, and the entire ceremony was interwoven with verses that were meaningful to the couple and their new roles as husband and wife. Dan and Anna Claire were so careful not to see each other before their wedding so their first look was while she walked down the aisle. There was no hesitation in her stride and no aprehension in his smile while they looked into one another’s eyes as Anna Claire walked down the aisle into her new life with Dan as her husband.

I was so honored to capture their first day of their happily ever after. I know Anna Claire and Dan will live a life filled with love, kindness, and compassion. I know great things are in store for them as the embark on their new journey as the Jones’!
